personal friend of Lady Bird Johnson. She was married to Edward Matthew Cape, also known as
E. M. Cape. She is interred in San Marcos Cemetery in San Marcos

public research university in San Marcos, Texas and the alma mater of Lyndon B. Johnson.
Scope and content note:
This collection consists of microfilm copies of the “College Star”, the campus newspaper of
Texas State
- received a B.A. from Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, Texas
and taught at A.C. Jones High School in Beeville, Texas. She is the daughter of Chester Dugat
and Nell Smith. Dugat is interred in Kenedy Cemetery in Kenedy, Texas.
