And when the Soviets helped Castro get charge of Cuba,
the first thing they made him do was to get rid of every cooperative
like the credit union, savings and loans
- that it was a real botched job.
Certainly
he had no illusions that Castro was independent of the Soviet Union,
but I just don't think I can really answer that question accurately.
