Did you interview him for that article?

I interviewed him briefly, I didn't have any extensive one for that. However, I did do other
stories about him and about Congress. Quite a number of my stories were connected
- a number of telegrams to you both dur
ing and after the riot demanding a disaster proclamation. Brown, with Collins' help,
held firm, with the net result that a disaster request from the Governor never came in.
Collins made some progress bringing the local
- Shriver. There were
many mornings like this.
Sometimes they were on issues that were really negligible. We had two reporters in
Washington, Eve Edstrom of the Post and a young fellow at the Star whose specialty was
the leaked memo. I always found it rather
