MAINLAND SOUTHEAST ASIA
Following a review of recent political and
military developments in Laos and South
Vietnam, discussed the advantages and di•
advantages

to 30, 000 feet, and tell them apart from KC-135s which
are permitted to fly over Laos now.

with the flights out of Thailand since B-52s stationed on
Guam are hitting

were trying to create problems for us in South Vietnam. including the effect
of a dive r sion in Korea on possible negotiations and on our military actions

in it unless they had either of these two objectives in mind.

General Wheeler said yes, to the best of our ability. General Wheeler
said the proposal was to use a South Vietnamese Airborne Brigade in
area 607 to destroy troops
