I am sure you are somewhat aware of
the phenomena of Unidentified Flying
all over the world
- into the atmosphere during the period of warning of the missile
attack. That is the primary advantage of BMEWS.
What the FOBS does is circumvent BMEWS. So if you were a Soviet
planner, possibly concerned about the bomber element of our force; this
might be one action
- of Experimental
Test Pilots; associate fellow of the American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics; and
member of the Soaring Society of America.
Armstrong was a naval aviator from 1949 to 1952 and flew
combat missions during the Korean action.
