Today the President issued a statemen t regarding the Harlem race riots saying that
he had called the acting Mayor of New York City and told him of his willingness to
cooperate in every way possible and that he directed Mr. J. Edgar
- of 1933, as a amended, to provide
that part o f the patronag e refunds paid by a bank for cooperatives shall be in money instead
of class C stock after the bank becomes subject to Federal income tax, and for other
