He stated that he recognized we had problems and various different parts of
the country had different problems to cope with, and that he would hope that
we could work out our differences and that we could

But I was bound by the unit rule in my
delegation, and of course Vie cast our ballots for Lyndon Johnson on the

we want to get a lot of people there fast. Anyway, we had to go through all this, and I
hope we left our successors a pretty good set of plans and organization and a much larger
