Well, I first became acquainted with Lyndon Johnson in the late 1940' s.
I don't remember exactly when- -the exact date.
But I had been in the
foreign service in South America from 1942 until 1945.
After I got
back to Temple, Texas, where I
- to as the donor, hereby give, donate, and convey to the United
states of America for eventual deposit in the Lyndon Baines Jo~,son Library,
and for administration therein by the authorities thereof, a tape and transcript of a personal statemcnt approved by me
