Bio: Adam Yarmolinsky (1922-2000), lawyer, educator, and government official, was Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense from 1961 to 1964 and director of the President's anti-poverty program in 1964. He then served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Affairs from 1965 to 1966. From 1966 to 1972, Yarmolinsky was a professor of law at Harvard University, and in 1971, he authored The Military Establishment.
