Bio: Alvin Jacob Wirtz (1888-1951) was an attorney and a Texas state senator from 1922 to 1930. He organized and served as General Counsel for the Lower Colorado River Authority, and was chairman of the state advisory board of the National Youth Administration for Texas. He was Under Secretary of the Department of the Interior from January 2, 1940 to May 24, 1941.
