Bio: Brad Thompson was born August 2, 1923, in Bunyan, Erath County, Texas. He married Betty Watson of Dublin in January 1943, and was later drafted into the Army Air Corps. Following his discharge from the Army Air Corps in late 1945, he returned to Stephenville, Texas where he began his own insurance agency in 1948. He would head the agency for forty-two years. In 1960, he was elected as a delegate from Texas to the Democrat’s National Convention in Los Angeles.
