Bio: John Cordell Moore (b. 1912) was a lawyer and government official. He was a clerk to a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1939 to 1941, and he worked for the Office of Alien Property at the Department of Justice from 1947 to 1950. From 1950 to 1952 he was an assistant with the division of property management at the Department of the Interior, and he was director of security for the department from 1952 to 1961. He was an Administrator for the Oil Import Administration from 1961 to 1965, and Assistant Secretary for Mineral Resources at the Department of the Interior, 1965 to 1969.
