Bio: Jerry Rodgers Holleman (December 26, 1919, Childress County, Texas-d. October 10, 1979, San Antonio, Texas), Assistant Secretary of Labor during the administration of President John F. Kennedy. In 1950 he was named assistant to the executive secretary of the Texas State Federation of Labor and in 1953 became executive secretary. He became president of the State AFL-CIO in 1957 and was re-elected in 1959.
