Bio: Nadine Ellen Cannon Eckhardt (b. January 20, 1931, McAllen, Texas). She married Billy Lee Brammer in 1950 and moved to Austin in 1951 where she worked for the University of Texas and the Austin American-Statesman newspaper. She and her husband moved to Washington D.C. in 1955 to work on the staff of Texas Senator Lyndon B. Johnson. She divorced Brammer in 1961, and married Robert "Bob" Eckhardt in 1962.
