Bio: John Henry Crooker, Jr. (b. October 26, 1914, Houston, Texas-d. May 18, 2007, Houston, Texas), lawyer. He received a B.A. from Rice Institute (now known as Rice University) in 1935 and a LL.B. from the University of Texas in 1937. He was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1937 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1953, and practiced law in Houston with the firm Fulbright & Crooker (now Fulbright & Jaworski) and Washington, D.C. Crooker was also chairman of the Civil Aeronautics Board from 1968 to 1969, chairman of the board of directors of the University of St. Thomas in Houston from 1974 to 1978, chairman of the Houston Chamber of Commerce from 1978 to 1979, and chairman of the Houston YMCA.
