Bio: Fleur Fenton Cowles (b. February 13, 1910, New York-d. June 5, 2009, Sussex, England) wrote more than ten books, including an authorized biography of Salvador Dali (The Case of Salvador Dali, 1959), and won international fame as a surrealist/magical realist painter, appearing in more than 51 one-woman exhibitions around the globe from the 1960s to 1990s.
