Bio: Lloyd Bentsen (1921-2006) was a lawyer and served in the U.S. Army Air Force, 1942-1945. He was a County judge, 1946-1948; U.S. Congressman, Texas, 1948-1955; U.S. Senator, Texas, 1970-1993; and Secretary of the Treasury, 1993-1994. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999.
