Bio: Joseph Walker Barr (b. January 17, 1918-d. February 23, 1996) was an assistant to the Secretary of the Treasury from 1961 to 1964, Chairman of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) from 1964 to 1965, Under Secretary of the Treasury from 1965 to 1968, and Secretary of the Treasury from 1968 to 1969.
