The collection includes records of Johnson's telephone conversations with Presidents Truman and Eisenhower, Senate colleagues, Cabinet members, White House staff, Texas political contacts, news reporters, and labor leaders. The conversations were monitored by an aide who took notes or were recorded on disks or dictaphone belts.
