This collection is comprised of recordings, notes, and transcripts from Lyndon Johnson’s Pre-Presidential period. The notes were usually taken by Johnson’s secretaries and assistants, especially Walter Jenkins. They are often summaries of conversations, though they may not reflect the entire conversation or recording.Some of the notes are in shorthand and may relate to completed transcripts. Many of the transcripts include handwritten notes and edits, including some by Johnson himself.
